Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. chopped chives or onion
  • 18 large fresh mushrooms
  • 2 tsp. horseradish
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2/3 c. dry white wine

Method

  • Mix beef, horseradish, chives or onion, garlic salt and pepper together in a bowl.
  • Remove stems from mushrooms (sometimes I finely chop the stems and add to meat mixture).
  • Stuff mushrooms with beef mixture.
  • Place in a shallow baking dish; pour wine over mushrooms.
  • Bake in a 350° oven for 20 to 30 minutes, until beef is done.
  • Makes 18 appetizers.
