Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. lean beef
- 4 Tbsp. margarine
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 2 small onions, minced
- 1 c. beef broth
- 1/2 lb. mushrooms
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1 c. dry white wine
- salt & pepper
Method
- Cut meat into strips and sprinkle with salt & pepper.
- In large pan, make a paste with margarine and flour until it turns golden brown.
- Slowly pour broth into pan, stirring constantly. Bring to boil; add salt & pepper; set aside.
- Fry onion in butter, add meat and gently fry until brown.
- Add to flour mixture and add wine.
- Cook gently 1 1/4 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Wash & cut mushrooms; add to pan.
- Cook another 30 minutes; lower heat; add sour cream.
