Ingredients

  • ham
  • 1 large pkg. shredded cheese
  • potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. plain flour
  • 1 c. milk

Method

  • Granny always used her leftover ham.
  • Ham should be cut into chunks.
  • Peel and dice potatoes.
  • You can boil potatoes before putting casserole together.
  • Place butter in microwave-safe dish and cook on High until melted.
  • Stir in flour until smooth.
  • Whisk in milk and pepper, blending well.
  • Cook on High 3 minutes stirring once.
  • Whisk until smooth.
  • Layer with ham, potatoes, mixture and cheese.
  • Continue doing this until you have used all of your ham and potatoes.
  • Top with cheese.
  • Bake at 375 ° until bubbly or potatoes are done.
