Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. beef sirloin steak
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. margarine
  • 1 lb. sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped green onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 c. white wine
  • 1 Tbsp. tomato paste
  • 1 c. nonfat sour cream
  • chopped parsley (for garnish)
  • cooked pasta

Method

  • Trim off any fat on steak. Cut the meat into thin strips about 2-inches long and 1/4-inch wide.
  • Season with pepper and toss meat with 1 tablespoon of the flour.
  • Melt 1 teaspoon of the margarine in a nonstick skillet over moderate heat. Add the meat strips and saute, turning them to brown on all sides. Remove to a plate and keep warm.
