Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 lb. round steak, cubed
  • 2 Tbsp. fat
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 (4 to 6 oz.) can mushrooms
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/2 can water
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire
  • 6 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. salt and pepper
  • 1 c. sour cream

Method

  • Dip meat in flour.
  • In heavy skillet, brown meat in hot fat. Add onion, garlic and mushrooms (include liquid).
  • Combine all other ingredients except sour cream and pour over meat mixture. Cover and simmer for about 1 hour.
  • Stir occasionally.
  • Add a little water if too much liquid evaporates.
  • Stir in sour cream. Heat but do not boil.
  • Serve over rice or noodles.
