Ingredients

  • 1 12 lbs stewing beef
  • 1 large potato, cubed
  • 1 onion, diced (more or less to taste)
  • 1 -2 large carrot, grated
  • 2 -3 celery ribs, sliced
  • 1 (14 ounce) can black beans
  • 1 (14 ounce) can pinto beans
  • 1 lb sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • 3 -10 minced garlic cloves (we like alot)
  • 12 cup red wine (optional)
  • 6 beef bouillon cubes (I like Herb Ox, no MSG, to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons pepper
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin

Method

  • put everything in the crockpot.
  • cook on low for 8 hours, or.
  • cook on high for 4 hours, or.
  • cook on stove top.
