Ingredients
- 1 lb. stew beef
- 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
- 2 c. beef broth
- 1/4 tsp. marjoram
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 c. parsley
- 1 onion
- 8 potatoes
- 4 carrots
- 2 stalks celery
Method
- Brown beef in pan with a little Crisco.
- Add tomatoes (chop them up a little), broth, marjoram, salt and pepper.
- Cover and cook until meat is almost tender.
- Add onion, potatoes, carrots, celery and parsley.
- Let simmer.
- (I usually let it simmer for 3 to 4 hours.)
- Stir occasionally.
