Ingredients
- 1 large brisket (not corned beef)
- Kitchen Bouquet
- Liquid Smoke
- celery salt
- garlic salt
- Lawry's seasoned salt
- pepper
- barbecue sauce (optional)
Method
- Trim all fat off brisket.
- Cover 1 side with Kitchen Bouquet; rub in evenly.
- Add small amount of Liquid Smoke; rub it in evenly. Sprinkle with celery salt, garlic salt, seasoned salt and pepper. Repeat on other side.
- Seal tightly in aluminum foil and place in baking dish.
- Cook at 225° for 6 to 8 hours.
- Let cool.
- Cut with electric knife across the grain.
- Arrange in baking dish.
- Add lightly, barbecue sauce, and bake on low heat 10 to 20 minutes until warm.
- Serve hot.
- Leftovers make great sandwiches.
