Ingredients
- 8 oz. Great Northern or navy beans
- 8 oz. pinto beans
- seasoning salt
- pepper
- 1/4 c. white onion, chopped fine
- 1 Tbsp. chopped garlic
- 12 oz. chopped ham, cut in 1/2-inch squares
- 5 medium potatoes, diced
Method
- Soak beans for 3 hours in cold water.
- Bring to boil.
- Cut back heat.
- Add salt, pepper, onion, and garlic.
- Cook, covered, until beans are done, about 2 hours.
- One-half hour before beans are done, add ham and potatoes.
