Ingredients
- 1 c. Crisco shortening
- 1 stick butter
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 c. sifted self rising flour
- 2 1/2 c. sifted plain flour
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 3 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Grease and flour tube pan.
- Cream Crisco and butter together; add sugar and cream.
- Add eggs 1 at a time.
- Sift flours together twice; add vanilla to milk; add flour and milk a little at a time, starting and ending with flour.
- Mix well; pour into pan and bake 1 hour until done; test with toothpick.
