Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. margarine, softened
  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1 egg
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 3 1/2 c. flour, divided

Method

  • Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl (use mixer).
  • Beat in egg.
  • Mix yeast and 2 cups flour separately.
  • Add separate mix to liquid and beat with mixer until smooth.
  • Stir in 1 1/2 cups flour (or enough for a very soft dough).
  • Cover bowl with towel and let rise for about 30 minutes or until doubled.
  • Punch down and place in well-greased muffin pan.
  • Let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes.
  • Bake at 400° for about 15 minutes.
