Ingredients
- 1 package yeast
- 1 cup warm water 105-115 degrees
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon shortening
- 3 1/2 cups flour
Method
- Dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl.
- Add sugar, salt, shortening and 1/2 of flour.
- Beat with a spoon (wooden) until batter falls.
