Ingredients

  • 6 medium to large sweet potatoes or yams
  • 1/4 c. melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves

Method

  • Wash and scrub potatoes.
  • Cut slits in tops.
  • Place each potato in a piece of aluminum foil, wrapping securely.
  • Cook 6-inches from heat, tops down, for 20 minutes.
  • Turn and pierce foil tops with a fork.
  • Cook for 20 to 25 minutes or longer, until done.
  • Cut foil open.
  • Combine cloves and butter.
  • Frizzle over tops.
  • Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serves 6.
