- 1 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 1/2 c. catsup
- 1 Tbsp. dry or 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- 1/8 tsp. cloves
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 6 hamburger buns
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice or vinegar
- 12 cooked thin slices beef
Method
- In large skillet, cook onion in margarine until tender.
- Stir in remaining ingredients except beef and buns.
- Heat to boiling; simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until beef is heated through.
- Serve on warm buns.
- Makes 6 servings.
