Ingredients

  • 3 lb. chicken, cut up
  • 3 Tbsp. catsup
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 Tbsp. water
  • 2 Tbsp. oleo
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper

Method

  • Heat all ingredients except chicken to blend.
  • Grease inside of a large brown paper bag and place in a roasting pan.
  • Set oven temperature at 500°.
  • Salt and pepper chicken.
  • Dip each piece in the sauce.
  • Place chicken in bag.
  • Pour sauce overall chicken. Fold sack in double at opening.
  • Fasten top with paper clips and cover roasting pan.
  • Place in oven and cook 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350°.
  • Cook 1 hour and 15 minutes more.
  • Do not open bag until cooking time is reached.
