- 3 lb. chicken, cut up
- 3 Tbsp. catsup
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 4 Tbsp. water
- 2 Tbsp. oleo
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. mustard
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
Method
- Heat all ingredients except chicken to blend.
- Grease inside of a large brown paper bag and place in a roasting pan.
- Set oven temperature at 500°.
- Salt and pepper chicken.
- Dip each piece in the sauce.
- Place chicken in bag.
- Pour sauce overall chicken. Fold sack in double at opening.
- Fasten top with paper clips and cover roasting pan.
- Place in oven and cook 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350°.
- Cook 1 hour and 15 minutes more.
- Do not open bag until cooking time is reached.
