Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 to 4 peeled, cored and chopped (1 x 1-inch) apples
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Method

  • Mix dry ingredients in large bowl with a fork.
  • Mix sugar, eggs, oil and vanilla in smaller bowl with whisk.
  • Add wet ingredients to dry and mix thoroughly by hand.
  • Add apples and walnuts; mix well.
  • Pour into greased 10-inch round spring-form pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
  • Cool thoroughly. Top with powdered sugar before serving.
