Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 (8 ounce.) can crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 c. maraschino cherries, liquid removed and halved
  • Nuts, minced (if you like)

Method

  • Puree bananas (1 c.).
  • Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in large bowl.
  • Add in bananas, pineapple with juice, Large eggs, oil and vanilla.
  • Mix till well blended.
  • Stir in cherries.
  • Pour in greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan.
  • Bake in 350 degree oven 30 to 35 min.
  • Cold 30 min.
  • Spread with frosting.
