Ingredients

  • 30 inches wax paper
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 34 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 12 cup water
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1 lb pecan halves

Method

  • In a large saucepan combine sugars, water, salt and spices.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • Boil 3-5 minutes.
  • Stir in pecans until completely coated with mixture.
  • Pour coated pecans onto waxed paper.
  • Let cool.
  • Refrigerate pecans several hours until hardened.
  • Break in pieces.
