Ingredients
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 1 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 c. (2 medium) mashed bananas
- 2/3 c. buttermilk *
- 2/3 c. margarine or butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 c. chopped nuts
Method
- *May substitute for buttermilk:
- scant 2/3 cup milk and 1 3/4 teaspoons lemon juice or vinegar stirred in.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before adding to cake.
