Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. milk
Method
- Mix and sift dry ingredients; cut in shortening until well mixed.
- Add milk and stir until soft dough is formed.
- Knead dough on lightly floured board and shape into smooth ball.
- Roll into 1/2-inch thick lengths and cut with floured biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake in very hot oven at 450° for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Yields 14 (2-inch) biscuits.
