Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. diced celery
  • 1/2 c. diced green pepper
  • 1/4 c. diced onion
  • 1 (6 oz.) can broiled in butter mushrooms
  • 1/4 c. butter or oil
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • pepper
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 2 c. diced turkey

Method

  • Saute celery, green pepper and onion in oil until tender only. Add milk and seasonings; drain mushrooms and blend 1/2 cup mushroom liquid with flour.
  • Pour gradually into frying pan and stir constantly until sauce thickens.
  • Add turkey.
  • Pour into casserole and arrange mushrooms on top.
  • Put into hot oven at 425° for 20 minutes, until thoroughly hot.
  • Do not overcook celery and green pepper, as these are added texture needed.
