Ingredients
- 1/2 c. diced celery
- 1/2 c. diced green pepper
- 1/4 c. diced onion
- 1 (6 oz.) can broiled in butter mushrooms
- 1/4 c. butter or oil
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- pepper
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 c. diced turkey
Method
- Saute celery, green pepper and onion in oil until tender only. Add milk and seasonings; drain mushrooms and blend 1/2 cup mushroom liquid with flour.
- Pour gradually into frying pan and stir constantly until sauce thickens.
- Add turkey.
- Pour into casserole and arrange mushrooms on top.
- Put into hot oven at 425° for 20 minutes, until thoroughly hot.
- Do not overcook celery and green pepper, as these are added texture needed.
