- 3 lb. lean spareribs
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. chopped celery
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 1 (No. 2) can pineapple tidbits (2 1/2 c.) plus juice
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Method
- Put ribs in a roasting pan.
- Salt and pepper.
- Bake in a 350° oven for 1 hour.
- Drain off fat.
- Mix together remaining ingredients and pour over ribs.
- Bake 40 to 45 minutes longer. Baste frequently with sauce.
