Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 c. butter, melted
- 1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. all-purpose flour
- 2/3 c. water
- 1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. dried whole thyme
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. hot sauce
Method
- Saute garlic in butter until tender.
- Add flour and stir until smooth.
- Add water, lemon juice, salt, sugar, thyme, pepper and hot sauce.
- Stir well.
- Cook over medium heat until thickened.
- Allow to cool, then use as a basting sauce for beef, pork or chicken.
