Ingredients
- 12 medium onions, thinly sliced
- 1 (3 3/4 oz.) bag potato chips, crushed
- 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 c. milk
- cayenne pepper
Method
- In a 13 x 9 x 2-inch buttered casserole, place alternate layers of onions, potato chips and cheese.
- Mix soups and milk; pour over top of layers in casserole.
- Sprinkle generously with cayenne.
- Bake in preheated 350° gas oven for 1 hour.
- Yield:
- 6 to 8 servings.
