Ingredients

  • 10 to 12 oz. macaroni, cooked and drained
  • 1 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, cubed in 1/2-inch squares
  • 1 lb. Colby cheese, cubed in 1/2-inch squares
  • flour
  • salt and pepper
  • milk

Method

  • Cook and drain macaroni.
  • Cut cheeses into squares.
  • Lightly grease or Pam a 13 x 9-inch casserole.
  • Divide macaroni into 2 parts.
  • Layer half the macaroni in casserole.
  • Sprinkle half of both cheeses over macaroni layer.
  • Dust with flour (approximately 1/4 to 1/2 cup).
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Layer remaining macaroni on top of first layer.
  • Add remaining cheeses.
  • Dust with flour again and salt and pepper.
  • Cover with milk.
  • Bake at 325° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, until brown and crusty on top.
