Ingredients

  • 3 cans pork and beans
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp. ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • dash of salt and pepper
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 4 slices bread, remove crusts and cut in cubes

Method

  • Beat eggs.
  • Add sugar, salt and flour.
  • Beat mixture until fluffy.
  • Pour pineapple into mixture and blend.
  • Place in a greased 2-quart casserole.
  • You may stop here and refrigerate.
  • When ready to bake, place cubed bread on top in geometric pattern.
  • Slice butter and place butter on top of bread.
  • Bake at 400° for 40 to 45 minutes.
