Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 lb. spareribs
  • salt
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 large lemon
  • 1 c. catsup
  • 1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 1 1/2 c. water

Method

  • Salt ribs.
  • Place in shallow roasting pan, meat side up. Roast at 450° for 30 minutes.
  • Drain fat.
  • Top each piece with a slice of onion and a slice of lemon.
  • Combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Pour over ribs. Lower oven to 350° and bake 1 1/2 hours.
  • Baste every 15 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
