Ingredients

  • 1- 1/2 cup Old Fashioned Oats
  • 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • Salt
  • 1/4 cups Maple Syrup
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 Egg, Slightly Beaten
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1- 1/2 cup Applesauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar

Method

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and grease the bottom and sides of an 8x8 in pan.
  • In a bowl, combine the oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the maple syrup, milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Spread the applesauce over the bottom of the pan, leaving a layer about a 1/4-inch thick.
  • Cover the fruit layer with the dry oats and then pour the liquid ingredients evenly over the oats.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar on top.
  • Bake for about 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  • Let cool before serving.
