Ingredients
- 1- 1/2 cup Old Fashioned Oats
- 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- Salt
- 1/4 cups Maple Syrup
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 Egg, Slightly Beaten
- 2 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1- 1/2 cup Applesauce
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
Method
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and grease the bottom and sides of an 8x8 in pan.
- In a bowl, combine the oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine the maple syrup, milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Spread the applesauce over the bottom of the pan, leaving a layer about a 1/4-inch thick.
- Cover the fruit layer with the dry oats and then pour the liquid ingredients evenly over the oats.
- Sprinkle brown sugar on top.
- Bake for about 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
