Ingredients

  • 10 slices Bacon
  • 3 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoons Sea Salt
  • 1/2 cups Old Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
  • 12 ounces, fluid Beer
  • 1/4 cups Melted Butter

Method

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 4"x9" loaf pan.
  • Cut bacon strips into small pieces. Fry over medium-high heat until crispy. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sea salt, shredded cheddar cheese, and crumbled bacon. Add beer and mix until just combined. Place bread mixture in the prepared loaf pan and roughly spread to the edges. I like the ridges of a textured crust so I do not smooth the top once placed in the pan. Pour melted butter over the top of the dough mixture so it's completely coated.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before removing the bread from the pan to completely cool.
