Ingredients
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 3 Tbsp. water
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 pie shell
Method
- Put yolks and 1/2 cup sugar in double boiler.
- Mix well and add lemon juice.
- Cook until thick.
- Cool.
- Beat egg whites until stiff.
- Add 1/2 cup sugar.
- Fold 1/2 of the egg white mixture into cooled filling.
- Put in cooked pie shell.
- Top with the other egg whites and brown lightly.
