Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. light margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. canola oil
  • 3/4 c. Sugar Twin
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed cloves
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped dates
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

Method

  • Cream the margarine, oil and Sugar Twin.
  • Add eggs and mix well.
  • Sift together the flour, soda, salt, cloves and cinnamon; add to creamed mixture.
  • Stir in applesauce and vanilla, mixing well.
  • Add dates and nuts and mix well.
  • Pour into greased and floured Bundt pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 50 minutes; do not overbake. Serves 16.
