Ingredients
- 1 large fryer
- 1 c. milk
- 1 stick margarine
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 1 pkg. frozen peas and carrots
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- salt to taste
- pastry dough
Method
- Stew chicken with seasonings added.
- Remove bones and dice chicken.
- Melt butter in skillet or large Corning Ware casserole dish; stir in flour.
- Add broth and milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until medium sauce is made.
- Place chicken and vegetables in casserole.
- Salt and pepper, if desired, and mix well.
- Cover with latticed pir crust.
- Bake at 350° until golden brown and mixture is bubbly.
- Yields 10 to 12 servings.
