- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 3 large onions, coarsely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 small cans tomato puree
- 3 small cans tomato paste
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces
- 1 small can boned chicken
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Brown onions, garlic and green pepper.
- Brown meat in separate pan.
- Combine in kettle.
- Add puree, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce and 1 cup water.
- Simmer 3 hours.
- Cool overnight.
- Before serving, add mushrooms and chicken.
- Simmer 1 hour.
