Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 3 large onions, coarsely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 small cans tomato puree
  • 3 small cans tomato paste
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces
  • 1 small can boned chicken
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Brown onions, garlic and green pepper.
  • Brown meat in separate pan.
  • Combine in kettle.
  • Add puree, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce and 1 cup water.
  • Simmer 3 hours.
  • Cool overnight.
  • Before serving, add mushrooms and chicken.
  • Simmer 1 hour.
