Ingredients
- 6 Granny Smith apples
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 pie shell with top crust
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Method
- Pare and slice apples.
- Sift dry ingredients together and mix with apples.
- Pour in unbaked pie shell, dot with butter and cover with top crust.
- Flute edges using thumb and index fingers.
- Bake at 450° for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350° for 45 minutes.
- Makes 1 (9-inch) pie.
- Serve warm or cold.
