Ingredients

  • 150 grams Plain white flour
  • 75 grams Butter or margarine
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1 Apples (Jonathans, if available)
  • 20 grams Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Water

Method

  • Make the pie crust: Add the flour and butter to a bowl.
  • Mix together with your fingers until crumbly.
  • Once the mixture has become crumbly, pour water and bring it all together.
  • Wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Make the Filling: Thinly slice the apples.
  • Combine the apples, sugar, and water into a saucepan and boil on low heat until soft.
  • Take out the pie crust, roll it out thinly, and cut out the shapes.
  • Spoon the filling on a cut out circle, lay another on top and press down the edges along with a fork.
  • Poke a hole in the center with the fork.
  • Cover a baking tray with parchment paper and put on the pie crusts.
  • Bake for 10 minutes in a 210 degrees C preheated oven, cool on a rack, and they're done!
  • Leftover Pie Crusts: It's cute if you fill them with jam and make jam pie.
  • Wrap around chocolate to make a chocolate croissant
