Ingredients
- 5 to 6 c. apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. honey
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 tsp. lemon juice
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. chopped nuts
- 1 unbaked (9-inch) pie shell
Method
- Combine apples with sugar, honey, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and juice.
- Spread nuts over pastry shell.
- Add apple mixture.
- Cover with topping.
- Bake.
