Ingredients
- 1/2 c. margarine, softened
- 1 pkg. yellow cake mix (2 layers)
- 1 (20 oz.) can pie sliced apples
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 egg, beaten
Method
- Cut the softened margarine into the dry cake mix.
- Put this mixture into an ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Build up the edges slightly.
- Bake this for 10 minutes at 350°.
- Drain most of the juice from the canned apples.
- Arrange the slices over the top of the partially cooled baked crust.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over top of apples.
- Combine sour cream and beaten egg. Drizzle over top of apples and sugar.
- Bake 25 minutes at 350° until edges are light brown.
- Do not over bake.
- Cut in squares and serve warm.
