Ingredients

  • 6 medium size cooking apples
  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 c. old fashioned or quick cooking oats, uncooked
  • 6 Tbsp. butter, softened

Method

  • Peel, core and slice apples.
  • Place apple slices in a 10 x 6-inch baking dish.
  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • In medium size bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, oats and butter.
  • Sprinkle oat mixture evenly over apple slices.
  • Bake 45 minutes or until apples are tender.
  • Serve warm or refrigerate to serve later.
  • Delicious with ice cream.
