Ingredients

  • 6 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch deep dish pie shell
  • 1/2 c. butter (at room temperature)
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • whipped cream

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Arrange apple slices in pie shell. Combine butter, flour, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon in a bowl. Spread mixture over apples.
  • Sprinkle with walnuts.
  • Bake for 50 minutes.
  • Serve with whipped cream.
