Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. oil
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 c. peeled, sliced apples
  • 1 c. (approximately) chopped walnuts

Method

  • Cream together eggs, sugar and oil.
  • Sift flour, salt, cinnamon and baking soda and add to sugar and oil mixture.
  • Blend thoroughly, then fold in apples and walnuts.
  • Pour into 8 x 10 x 2-inch pan, greased and floured.
  • Bake at 350° for 45 to 55 minutes.
  • Let sit in pan approximately 10 to 20 minutes, then turn out on plate.
  • Serve warm or cold, either plain or with whipped or ice cream.
