Ingredients
- 5 c. applesauce (unsweetened)
- 7 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 bottle Certo
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
Method
- Put applesauce in large pan.
- Add sugar, cinnamon and allspice.
- Cook at a full rolling boil for 2 minutes, stirring carefully.
- Remove from heat and at once stir in Certo.
- Stir until well mixed.
- Skim off foam with metal spoon.
- Put in scalded glasses and top with melted paraffin.
- Yields about 10 to 12 medium glasses.
