- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 c. pourable brown sugar
- 1 c. butter flavored Crisco
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 c. quick oats
- 2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips (12 oz.)
- 1 pkg. (6 oz.) almond brickle bits
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Method
- Combine sugars and shortening, add eggs, milk and vanilla; mix well.
- Add flour, soda and salt, mix well.
- Stir in oats, chips and nuts by hand.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes for easier handling. Make 1 1/4-inch balls.
- Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Cool and store in airtight container.
