Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. zambucca (liquor)

Method

  • Cut together with a pastry blender the flour and butter.
  • Stir in the sugar and baking powder.
  • Add to this mixture, eggs, milk, lemon juice and zambucca.
  • Form dough and chill 1/2 hour.
  • Roll into ropes and tie in knots.
  • Bake at 325° for 15 to 20 minutes. Ice with the following.
