- 1 1/2 lb. chopped pecans
- 1 lb. candied pineapple (1/2 red and 1/2 green)
- 1/2 lb. red candied cherries
- 1/4 lb. white raisins
- 1 stick butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 4 well beaten eggs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- scant tsp. soda
- 3 Tbsp. milk
- 4 c. sifted flour
- brandy or whiskey
Method
- Cream butter and sugar. Add well beaten eggs and milk.
- Stir in dry ingredients, then add nuts and fruit to dry ingredients. Add batter to brandy or whiskey to moisten.
- Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325° for 15 to 20 minutes.
