Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. chopped pecans
  • 1 lb. candied pineapple (1/2 red and 1/2 green)
  • 1/2 lb. red candied cherries
  • 1/4 lb. white raisins
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 4 well beaten eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • scant tsp. soda
  • 3 Tbsp. milk
  • 4 c. sifted flour
  • brandy or whiskey

Method

  • Cream butter and sugar. Add well beaten eggs and milk.
  • Stir in dry ingredients, then add nuts and fruit to dry ingredients. Add batter to brandy or whiskey to moisten.
  • Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325° for 15 to 20 minutes.
