Ingredients

  • 1 lb. loose sausage (hot or mild)
  • 2 medium fresh zucchini
  • 3 fresh tomatoes
  • 2 medium fresh green peppers
  • 1/2 pkg. small frozen onions, thawed
  • 1 (4 oz.) jar whole mushrooms
  • 2 c. seasoned croutons
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic salt
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Method

  • Crumble and fry sausage lightly to remove grease.
  • Drain and set aside.
  • Cube zucchini. Cut peppers into squares after removing centers and seeds.
  • Cook zucchini and peppers in salt water until crisp-tender, about 6 minutes.
  • Drain.
