Ingredients
- 4 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 3/4 c. + 3 Tbsp. sugar, divided
- 1 1/2 c. boiling water
- 3 egg whites
- 3/8 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- whipped cream
- 10-inch baked pie shell
Method
- Better made day ahead of serving.
- Mix together cornstarch and 3/4 cup sugar.
- Pour on boiling water, little at a time, or it lumps.
- Cook until thick and clear, stirring constantly.
