Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. quick acting dry yeast
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 2 c. Bisquick (either original or reduced fat)
  • 1/4 c. milk

Method

  • Dissolve yeast and sugar in the warm water in a medium mixing bowl.
  • Mix in the baking mix and milk until dough forms.
  • Smooth into a ball on breadboard dusted with baking mix.
  • Knead at least 10 times.
  • Roll 1/2-inch thick and cut with a biscuit cutter dipped in baking mix.
  • Put on an ungreased cookie sheet and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes or doubled in size. Preheat oven to 425°.
  • Bake 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown. Yield:
  • 9 to 12 buns.
