- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 c. margarine
- 1 c. cooking oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 4 1/2 c. sifted flour
Method
- Combine sugars, margarine and oil.
- Beat well.
- Add eggs and beat again.
- Stir in soda, cream of tartar, vanilla and almond flavoring.
- Add flour, a little at a time.
- Form small balls (large hickory nut size) and drop on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Flatten with a fork or the bottom of a glass.
- Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes until slightly brown.
- Makes lots of cookies that melt in your mouth!
