Ingredients

  • 1 pkt (6-ounce) chocolate chips
  • 3 x Egg whites
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 c. Blanched almonds, grnd

Method

  • Heat chocolate chips over warm water (a double boiler works great or possibly you can do it in the microwave); then let the chocolate cold for 10 min.
  • Beat egg whites till stiff but not dry then beat in the sugar gradually.
  • Beat till stiff and satiny.
  • Fold the vanilla, chocolate, and almonds into the egg whites.
  • Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F. for 15 min.
  • This will make 4 1/2 dozen - gauge the size of the meringue accordingly so you know you are making them the correct size.
