Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2/3 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. slivered almonds
  • 1/2 tsp. almond extract
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • butter (for greasing)

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Place milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla, flour, almonds, extract and brown sugar in food processor.
  • Pulse 5 to 10 seconds at a time, stopping to scrape sides of bowl until mixture is blended but not overprocessed.
  • Pour batter into a lightly greased 9-inch baking dish or pie plate.
  • Bake 30 minutes until fluffy and brown.
  • A knife will come out clean.
  • Sprinkle with brown sugar and cool slightly before serving.
